2005 Assembly RESOLUTION 36

AR36,1,3 To renumber assembly rule 28; to amend assembly rule 28 (title); and to create assembly rule 11 (12) and assembly rule 28 (2); relating to: prohibited meeting times of the assembly and assembly members of committees and other bodies.

This assembly resolution provides that the daily sessions of the assembly and the meetings of its committees end no later than midnight and prohibits the assembly and its committees from meeting or conducting business between midnight and 8 a.m. The resolution also prohibits assembly members of committees and other bodies from meeting or conducting business on such a committee or other body during that period.

AR36,1,4 Resolved by the assembly, That:

AR36, s. 1 Section 1. Assembly rule 11 (12) is created to read:

AR36,2,2 Assembly Rule 11 (12) Meetings of committees end at midnight unless adjourned earlier. Committees may not meet or conduct business during the hours between midnight and 8 a.m. Assembly members of committees or other bodies may not be present at or participate in a meeting of or participate in the conduct of business by the committee or other body during the hours between midnight and 8 a.m.

AR36, s. 2 Section 2. Assembly rule 28 (title) is amended to read:

AR36,2,5 Assembly Rule 28 (title) Hour for Daily sessions; convening, adjournment.

AR36, s. 3 Section 3. Assembly rule 28 is renumbered assembly rule 28 (1).

AR36, s. 4 Section 4. Assembly rule 28 (2) is created to read:

AR36,2,10 Assembly Rule 28 (2) The daily session of the assembly ends at midnight unless adjourned earlier. The assembly may not meet or conduct business during the hours between midnight and 8 a.m.
