SJR11,1,32 Whereas, Harold F. Huibregtse was born on August 20, 1907, in the town of
3Lima, Wisconsin, and died on February 21, 2005, in Sheboygan Falls; and
SJR11,1,54 Whereas, he was a 1923 graduate of Wisconsin Memorial Academy in Cedar
5Grove; and
SJR11,1,76 Whereas, Mr. Huibregtse married Rosemary DeGroff on April 7, 1937, and she
7preceded him in death on February 4, 1994; and
SJR11,1,98 Whereas, he married Agnes Walfoort on September 13, 1997, and she preceded
9him in death on September 15, 2000; and
SJR11,1,1110 Whereas, Mr. Huibregtse was first elected to the Wisconsin assembly in 1954,
11serving in the 1955 and 1957 sessions; and
SJR11,1,1312 Whereas, he was subsequently elected to the Wisconsin senate in 1958, serving
13in the 1959 session; and

1Whereas, during his tenure in the legislature, Mr. Huibregtse was a member
2of the Joint Committee on Finance and the Joint Survey Committee on Retirement
3Systems; and
SJR11,2,54 Whereas, Mr. Huibregtse was the chairman of the 6th District of the Wisconsin
5Republican Party in 1963; now, therefore, be it
SJR11,2,9 6Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
7Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted public service that Harold F. Huibregtse
8contributed to this state and his community, express their sorrow at his death, and
9extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
SJR11,2,12 10Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
11resolution to Mr. Huibregtse' s daughter, SueAnn Kennedy of Lake Ellen, and son,
12John A. Huibregtse of Plymouth.
