AB91,1,2 1An Act to create 23.127 of the statutes; relating to: voting by the members of
2the conservation congress.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
The conservation congress is a statewide independent organization of citizens
that serves the Natural Resources Board in an advisory capacity on all matters under
the jurisdiction of the Natural Resources Board, such as those concerning
conservation and the environment.
Under this bill, the Natural Resources Board may not accept the results of a
vote on an advisory question made during any spring county meeting of the
conservation congress if nonresidents were allowed to vote at that county meeting
on the advisory question or to vote for delegates of the conservation congress.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB91, s. 1 3Section 1. 23.127 of the statutes is created to read:
AB91,2,2 423.127 Conservation congress voting. The natural resources board may
5not accept the results of a vote on an advisory question taken during any spring
6county meeting of the conservation congress if persons who were not residents of this

1state were allowed to vote at that county meeting on the advisory question or to vote
2at that county meeting for delegates of the conservation congress.
