AB976,1,3 An Act to create 77.54 (58) of the statutes; relating to: a sales and use tax exemption for medical physics performance testing of medical imaging and therapeutic equipment.

This bill provides a sales and use tax exemption for medical physics performance testing of medical imaging and therapeutic equipment.

Because this bill relates to an exemption from state or local taxes, it may be referred to the Joint Survey Committee on Tax Exemptions for a report to be printed as an appendix to the bill.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB976, s. 1 Section 1. 77.54 (58) of the statutes is created to read:

AB976,2,2 77.54 (58) The sales price from the sale of and the use or other consumption of medical physics performance testing of medical imaging and therapeutic equipment, if the testing is part of the annual inspection service required under federal law.

AB976, s. 2 Section 2. Effective date.

AB976,2,5 (1) This act takes effect on the first day of the 2nd month beginning after publication.
