AB10,1,3 1An Act relating to: requiring the Department of Commerce to organize trade
2and marketing forums for Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III manufacturers and
3making an appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill requires the Department of Commerce to allocate $100,000 in the
2010-11 fiscal year to conducting trade and marketing forums in this state for the
purpose of promoting and developing business relationships among Tier I, Tier II,
and Tier III manufacturers.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB10, s. 1 4Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB10,1,55 (1) In this Section:
AB10,1,76 (a) "Tier I manufacturer" means a business that produces a product that is
7distributed for sale or sold to a consumer.

1(b) "Tier II manufacturer" means a business operating in this state that
2manufactures a product that is used as a part in a product produced by a Tier I
3manufacturer.
AB10,2,64 (c) "Tier III manufacturer" means a business operating in this state that
5manufactures a product that is used as a part in a product produced by a Tier II
6manufacturer.
AB10,2,137 (2) Of the moneys appropriated to the department of commerce under section
820.143 (1) (b) of the statutes for the 2010-11 fiscal year, the department shall allocate
9$100,000 to conduct trade and marketing forums in this state to bring together
10representatives of Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III manufacturers operating in this state
11for the purpose of promoting and developing business relationships. The department
12of commerce may work together with nonprofit manufacturing associations and
13manufacturing assistance networks to accomplish the objectives of this subsection.
