AB796,1,3 1An Act to create 118.60 (2) (c) 3. and 119.23 (2) (c) 3. of the statutes; relating

qualifications of teachers at private schools participating in a parental
3choice program.

Under current law, with certain exceptions, in order to teach at a private school
participating in a parental choice program (PCP), a person must have at least a
bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
This bill allows a person to teach pupils attending summer school at a private
school participating in a PCP if he or she is enrolled in a teacher education program
that leads to initial licensure as a teacher.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
