SJR48,1,54 Whereas, the Legislative Technology Services Bureau has been providing a full
5range of information technology services to the Wisconsin legislature since 1998; and
SJR48,1,96 Whereas, the software development team of the Legislative Technology
7Services Bureau was awarded the Legislative Staff Achievement Award by the
8National Association of Legislative Information Technology for its work on the
9development of Slate, a successful bill drafting, clerking, and publishing system; and
SJR48,1,1210 Whereas, the Slate Repository and Slate Explorer were successfully deployed
11to the Legislative Reference Bureau and the Legislative Council to draft for the 2013
12legislative session; and
SJR48,1,1513 Whereas, DeskClerk was successfully deployed by the Senate Chief Clerk and
14the Assembly Chief Clerk to record bill and committee activity for the 2013
15legislative session; and

1Whereas, the Slate Publisher and a new InSession application were deployed
2to the Wisconsin legislature's public Internet website to provide legislative and
3public users with timely and accurate updates about legislative activity; and
SJR48,2,54 Whereas, completing Slate in-house provided the Wisconsin legislature with
5considerable savings; and
SJR48,2,76 Whereas, Slate is a user-friendly suite of applications designed for efficiency
7and accuracy; now, therefore, be it
SJR48,2,11 8Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the Wisconsin
9legislature hereby commends and congratulates the Legislative Technology Services
10Bureau for its quality service to the Wisconsin legislature and the citizens of
11Wisconsin; and be it further
SJR48,2,14 12Resolved, That the Senate Chief Clerk shall provide copies of this joint
13resolution to Director Jeff Ylvisaker and to each member of the Legislative
14Technology Services Bureau's software development team.
