AJR115,1,53 Whereas, Fostering Futures strives to provide focus on improving the lives of
4children, especially those in foster care, by sharing the concept of trauma-informed
5care; and
AJR115,1,86 Whereas, educating government officials on the science of early-brain
7development and the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences has been a priority
8of Fostering Futures; and
AJR115,1,119 Whereas, significant progress in this area can be made by promoting a
10comprehensive approach that aligns the work of all three branches of government:
11executive, legislative, and judicial; and
AJR115,1,1412 Whereas, Fostering Futures is promoting opportunities and offering
13recommendations to translate the science of trauma-informed care into practice for
14children and families in Wisconsin; and

1Whereas, the Wisconsin state legislature hereby acknowledges the role of
2Wisconsin private sector partners SET Ministries, Medical College of Wisconsin, and
3SaintA; and
AJR115,2,64 Whereas, it is with gratitude we recognize Casey Family Programs for its
5support, consultation, and funding that have provided structure, expertise, and
6encouragement in this endeavor; now, therefore, be it
AJR115,2,12 7Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That it is proper to
8acknowledge the role of Wisconsin First Lady Tonette Walker for her sincere interest
9and initiative in being a champion for the children of Wisconsin through the
10collaborative efforts of Fostering Futures. Because of this work, Wisconsin is
11recognized as a foster care leader in the United States, and the legislature will strive
12to support her continued efforts.
