SB609,1,2 1An Act to create 302.389 of the statutes; relating to: reports of incidents
2between inmates and prison employees and between inmates.

This bill provides that any incident between an employee or officer at a prison
and an inmate or between an inmate and another inmate is open to public inspection,
except that the warden or superintendent of the prison may redact any personally
identifying information.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB609,1 3Section 1. 302.389 of the statutes is created to read:
SB609,1,8 4302.389 Incident reports. A report of an incident between an employee or
5officer at a prison and an inmate or between an inmate and another inmate is open
6to public inspection and copying under s. 19.35 (1), except that the warden or
7superintendent of the prison may redact any personally identifying information of
8the parties.
