SR5,1,1 Relating to: recognizing May 4–8, 2015, as Teacher Appreciation Week.

SR5,1,4 Whereas, Wisconsin teachers are the cornerstone of our state's legacy of outstanding public education and have earned the trust placed in them to prepare Wisconsin children for future success; and

SR5,1,7 Whereas, teachers demonstrate an ongoing commitment to their craft and their students through professional development, continued learning, and effective approaches to convey knowledge and foster success; and

SR5,1,10 Whereas, working with parents and families, teachers are indispensable to Wisconsin students, who are the future of our communities and the state's economic success; and

SR5,1,13 Whereas, Wisconsin teachers rise to and overcome challenges, exceed expectations, and have earned our gratitude for their hard work, dedication, and proven record of success; now, therefore, be it

SR5,2,3 Resolved by the senate, That the Wisconsin Senate joins families, students, and education colleagues in recognizing May 4–8, 2015, as Teacher Appreciation Week.
