AR25,1,2 1Relating to: condemning the violence at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School
2in Parkland, Florida.
AR25,1,53 Whereas, on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in Parkland, Florida, a gunman
4opened fire on innocent students, teachers, and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas
5High School; and
AR25,1,76 Whereas, the Wisconsin State Assembly remembers and honors the families of
7those who were harmed or needlessly lost their lives that day; and
AR25,1,128 Whereas, the State Assembly especially recognizes the heroic actions of
9members of the school community, including teacher Melissa Falkowski who helped
10hide 19 students, a yet unnamed janitor who diverted students away from the
11shooter, and football coach Aaron Feis who lost his life shielding students from
12gunfire; and
AR25,1,1413 Whereas, the State Assembly strongly denounces those who use senseless
14violence to inflict harm onto fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it

1Resolved by the assembly, That the members of the Wisconsin State
2Assembly condemn the violence that occurred in Parkland, Florida and extend our
3condolences to the families of those who were harmed or needlessly lost their lives.
