1995 WISCONSIN ACT 253
An Act to renumber and amend 341.14 (6) (b) of the statutes; relating to: retention of special motor vehicle registration plates related to the armed services.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
253,1 Section 1 . 341.14 (6) (b) of the statutes is renumbered 341.14 (8) and amended to read:
341.14 (8) If a registration special plate for a group associated with a branch of the armed services or otherwise military in nature has been issued to a person under par. (a) this section, upon application by the surviving spouse of the person, the department may permit the surviving spouse to retain the plate. If the plate has been returned to the department or surrendered to another state, the department may reissue the plate to the surviving spouse. The department shall charge an additional fee of $10 to reissue the plate. This subsection does not apply to a special plate issued under s. 341.14 (1) or (1r).
