1995 WISCONSIN ACT 399

An Act relating to: the awarding of grants to area health education centers and making an appropriation.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

399,1 Section 1 . Nonstatutory provisions; other.

(1) Area health education centers.

(a) Within 30 days after the effective date of this paragraph, from the appropriation under section 20.250 (1) (c) of the statutes, the Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc., shall award grants of $3,750 to each of the following area health education centers:

1. The Milwaukee Area Health Education Center, Inc.

2. The Eastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center, Inc.

3. The Southwest Wisconsin Area Health Education Center, Inc.

4. The Northern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center, Inc.

(b) Within 30 days after the effective date of this paragraph, from the appropriation under section 20.285 (1) (b) of the statutes, as created by 1995 Wisconsin Act 27, the board of regents of the University of Wisconsin System shall award grants to each of the area health education centers specified in paragraph (a) 1. to 4. in an amount equal to the amount awarded by the Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc., under paragraph (a) .

399,2 Section 2 . Appropriation changes; Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc.

(1) Area health education centers. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. under section 20.250 (1) (c) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1995, the dollar amount is increased by $15,000 for fiscal year 1996-97 to increase funding for the purposes for which the appropriation is made.

399,3 Section 3 . Appropriation changes; University of Wisconsin System.

(1) Area health education centers In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the board of regents of the University of Wisconsin System under section 20.285 (1) (b) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1995, the dollar amount is increased by $15,000 for fiscal year 1996-97 to increase funding for the purpose for which the appropriation is made.

399,4 Section 4 . Effective date.

(1) Area health education centers. This act takes effect on July 1, 1996, or on the day after publication, whichever is later.
