ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 7, To ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, To ASSEMBLY BILL 1

AB1-ASA1-AA7,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB1-ASA1-AA7,1,3 1. Page 24, line 1: delete the material beginning with "Seven" and ending with the period on line 4 and substitute "One person appointed by the governor.".

AB1-ASA1-AA7,1,5 2. Page 24, line 6: delete the material beginning with "At" and ending with the final period on line 7.

AB1-ASA1-AA7,1,13 3. Page 25, line 23: delete the material beginning with "The" and ending with "appointing" on page 26, line 7, and substitute: "The term of office of the person appointed under sub. (2) (a) shall be 4 years, except that for the initial appointment for a newly created district the initial term shall expire on July 1 of the 4th year beginning after creation of a district. A person appointed under sub. (2) (a) may be removed from the district board before the expiration of his or her term by the appointing authority but only for cause, as defined in s. 17.16 (2). A vacancy for a person appointed under sub. (2) (a) shall be filled by the appointing".
