Whereas, Wisconsin has been particularly well-served by its partial veto,
14which is limited to appropriations bills and allows the governor to reduce
15appropriations; now, therefore, be it

16Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
17legislature of the state of Wisconsin do entreat Congress to provide line-item veto
1authority to the President of the United States, so that such a veto may have as
2beneficial an effect on federal lawmaking as it has had on state lawmaking; and, be
