AB104-ASA1,1,1 An Act relating to: a study related to marriage statutes.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB104-ASA1, s. 1 Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB104-ASA1,1,10 (1)  Study on marriage provisions. The joint legislative council is requested to conduct a study that reviews chapter 765 of the statutes in light of current marriage practices and that assesses the need for any revisions to the chapter. The study should take into consideration marriage laws and practices in other jurisdictions. The joint legislative council is requested to report its findings, conclusions and recommendations, including any recommended statutory changes, on or before January 31, 1999, to the legislature in the manner provided under section 13.172 (2) of the statutes.
