SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 1997 ASSEMBLY BILL 57

AB57-SA1,1,2 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by assembly substitute amendment 1, as follows:

AB57-SA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 10: before that line insert:

AB57-SA1,1,4 " Section 1. 13.62 (11e) of the statutes is created to read:

AB57-SA1,1,5 13.62 (11e) "Local governmental unit" has the meaning given in s. 19.42 (7u).".

AB57-SA1,1,6 2. Page 1, line 10: substitute "Section 1m" for "Section 1".

AB57-SA1,1,8 3. Page 3, line 21: delete "For" and substitute "In the case of a principal other than a local governmental unit, for".

AB57-SA1,1,10 4. Page 4, line 7: delete "A contemporaneous"and substitute "A contemporaneous In the case of a principal other than a local governmental unit, a".

AB57-SA1,1,11 5. Page 4, line 17: after that line insert:

AB57-SA1,1,12 " Section 7m. 13.68 (1) (ca) of the statutes is created to read:

AB57-SA1,2,4 13.68 (1) (ca) In the case of a principal that is a local governmental unit, a detailed description of each subject area in which the principal attempted to influence legislative or administrative action during the reporting period, including all of the following:

AB57-SA1,2,7 1. The number, subject matter and specific issues addressed in the legislative proposals or administrative rules, if any, on which the principal attempted to influence legislative or administrative action in each subject area.

AB57-SA1,2,14 2. A contemporaneous record disclosing the time and resources spent on each attempt to influence legislative or administrative action in each subject area. The contemporaneous record shall be supplied on a form provided by the board and shall include an itemization of the time and resources spent on research and preparation, the time spent by the principal meeting with elective state officials, agency officials, legislative employes of the state and other state employes having decision-making authority, and any other activity which includes lobbying.".
