Aid to Milwaukee public schools. The amounts in the schedule
6to correct the academic deficiencies of educationally and economically
7disadvantaged pupils and to achieve a more effective and responsive educational
8program in the school district operating under ch. 119.
In the 1998-99 school year,
9moneys in this appropriation may also be used for the purposes specified in s. 119.76. 10In the 1993-94 fiscal year and in each fiscal year thereafter, the amount in the
11schedule shall be distributed according to the spending plan under s. 119.80. The
12department of public instruction may not distribute any funds in the appropriation
1under this paragraph in the 1993-94 fiscal year or in any fiscal year thereafter until
2the spending plan for that fiscal year has been approved under s. 119.80.".

5119.76 After-school programs. From the appropriation under s. 20.255 (2)
6(ec), the state superintendent shall pay to the board the amounts specified in the
7spending plan under s. 119.80 for the following programs in the 1998-99 school year:

Aid to Milwaukee Public Schools. Notwithstanding section 16.42 (1) (e)
13of the statutes, in submitting information under section 16.42 of the statutes for the
14purposes of the 1999-2001 biennial budget bill, the department of public instruction
15shall submit information concerning the appropriation account under section 20.255
16(2) (ec) of the statutes, as affected by this act, as though the increase in the dollar
17amount of that appropriation by
Section 9239 (1) of this act had not been made.".

20(1) Aid to Milwaukee public schools. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3)
21of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of public instruction under
22section 20.255 (2) (ec) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1997, the dollar
1amount is increased by $2,500,000 for fiscal year 1998-99 to increase funding for the
2purposes for which the appropriation is made.".
