SENATE AMENDMENT 14, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 2, TO SENATE BILL 2

SB2-SSA2-SA14,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB2-SSA2-SA14,1,4 1. Page 2, line 8: after "programs;" insert "adjusting the revenue limit of school districts based on summer enrollment; adjusting the revenue limit of the Milwaukee Public Schools;".

SB2-SSA2-SA14,1,5 2. Page 14, line 11: after that line insert:

SB2-SSA2-SA14,1,7 " Section 25m. 121.90 (1) (a) of the statutes, as created by 1997 Wisconsin Act 27, is amended to read:

SB2-SSA2-SA14,1,10 121.90 (1) (a) In determining a school district's revenue limit for the 1998-99 school year, a number equal to 20% of the summer enrollment in 1998 shall be included in the number of pupils enrolled on the 3rd Friday of September 1998.

SB2-SSA2-SA14, s. 25r Section 25r. 121.90 (1) (b) of the statutes, as created by 1997 Wisconsin Act 27, is amended to read:

SB2-SSA2-SA14,2,5 121.90 (1) (b) In determining a school district's revenue limit in the 1999-2000 school year, a number equal to 20% of the summer enrollment in 1998 shall be included in the number of pupils enrolled on the 3rd Friday of September 1998; and a number equal to 20% of the summer enrollment in 1999 shall be included in the number of pupils enrolled on the 3rd Friday of September 1999.

SB2-SSA2-SA14, s. 25s Section 25s. 121.90 (1) (c) of the statutes, as created by 1997 Wisconsin Act 27, is amended to read:

SB2-SSA2-SA14,2,14 121.90 (1) (c) In determining a school district's revenue limit in the 2000-01 school year, a number equal to 20% of the summer enrollment in 1998 shall be included in the number of pupils enrolled on the 3rd Friday of September 1998; a number equal to 20% of the summer enrollment in 1999 shall be included in the number of pupils enrolled on the 3rd Friday of September 1999; and a number equal to 20% of the summer enrollment in the year 2000 shall be included in the number of pupils enrolled on the 3rd Friday of September 2000.

SB2-SSA2-SA14, s. 25t Section 25t. 121.90 (1) (d) of the statutes, as created by 1997 Wisconsin Act 27, is amended to read:

SB2-SSA2-SA14,2,20 121.90 (1) (d) In determining a school district's revenue limit in the 2001-02 school year and in each school year thereafter, a number equal to 20% of the summer enrollment shall be included in the number of pupils enrolled on the 3rd Friday of September of each appropriate school year.".

SB2-SSA2-SA14,2,21 3. Page 14, line 22: after that line insert:

SB2-SSA2-SA14,3,2 "(2c) Revenue limit. Notwithstanding subchapter VII of chapter 121 of the statutes, the limit otherwise applicable to the revenue of the Milwaukee Public Schools under section 121.91 (2m) of the statutes is increased by $4,500,000 for the 1998-99 school year and by $2,250,000 for the 1999-2000 school year.".
