I, David Halbrooks, Chairperson of the State Elections Board, certify that the attached tabular statement, as compiled from the certified returns made to the State Elections Board by the several county clerks in the Eighty-second Assembly District, contains a correct abstract of the total number of votes given for the election of candidates for Representative to the Assembly, District 82, at a Special Election held in the several wards and election districts in said counties on the Seventh day of April, 1998.

Oath of Office
On April 15, 1998, Speaker Jensen administered the oath of office to Jeff Stone of the Eighty-second Assembly District in the city of Greenfield. Today, the swearing in ceremony was repeated during session in the Assembly Chamber. After the swearing in ceremony, Representative Stone addressed the members from the rostrum.
