Senator Jauch, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Ed Kleinhammer and Dean Habel - two people who are making a difference in the lives of young people. Ed Kleinhammer is a retired musician. For 45 years, he played the trombone with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He now resides in Hayward and volunteers with the Hayward High School Band twice a week, tutoring young musicians and providing them with the benefit of his years of experience with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The students and band director are delighted to have someone with his knowledge and talent adding something special to their education. Mr. Kleinhammer is giving a priceless gift to the next generation of musicians. Dean Habel is a retired assistant superintendent from the Fridley School system in Minnesota. He has been volunteering for the Hayward Elementary School for the past several years, providing guidance and education to the children of the Hayward area. Mr. Habel is there whenever the kids need him, listening and helping out.
Senator Schultz , with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Senator Darling on the occasion of celebrating her Birthday.
