ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 2, TO 1999 ASSEMBLY BILL 343

AB343-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB343-AA2,1,2 1. Page 4, line 17: after that line insert:

AB343-AA2,1,4 " Section 4g. 6.36 (2) of the statutes is renumbered 6.36 (2) (a) and amended to read:

AB343-AA2,1,9 6.36 (2) (a) The Except as provided in par. (b), the registration lists shall contain the full name and address of each registered elector, a blank column for the entry of the serial number of the electors when they vote, and a form of a certificate stating that each list is a true and complete combined check and registration list of the respective wards.

AB343-AA2, s. 4r Section 4r. 6.36 (2) (b) of the statutes is created to read:

AB343-AA2,1,13 6.36 (2) (b) If an elector obtains a confidential listing under s. 6.47 (2), the registration list shall be prepared such that the address of the elector does not appear on copies of the list that are used at polling places.".

AB343-AA2,2,2 2. Page 4, line 19: delete "addresses" and substitute "identification serial numbers".

AB343-AA2,2,3 3. Page 4, line 21: delete "addresses" and substitute "serial numbers".

AB343-AA2,2,6 4. Page 8, line 3: delete "elector's name and address" and substitute "name of the municipality issuing the card and in the case of a town, the county in which the town is located, the elector's name, the ward in which the elector resides, if any,".

AB343-AA2,2,8 5. Page 10, line 23: delete the material beginning with "The clerk" and ending with "elector." on line 24.

AB343-AA2,2,9 6. Page 11, line 1: delete "and".

AB343-AA2,2,11 7. Page 11, line 2: delete "the copy of the registration form" and substitute "or by providing his or her name and identification serial number".

AB343-AA2,2,14 8. Page 13, line 22: after "election." insert "An elector who provides an identification serial number issued under s. 6.47 (3) need not provide a street address.".

AB343-AA2,2,16 9. Page 16, line 7: delete the material beginning with "the" and ending with "or" on line 8.

AB343-AA2,2,17 10. Page 17, line 1: delete "and address".

AB343-AA2,2,18 11. Page 17, line 13: delete "or address".
