ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 1999 SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 26

SJR26-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the joint resolution as follows:

SJR26-AA1,1,4 1. Page 1, line 11: delete lines 11 to 14 and substitute "to reconcile the differences between the 2 houses on the 2 bills, and to present its report on either but not both of the bills to the 2 houses; and, be it further

SJR26-AA1,1,7 Resolved, That the committee of conference shall be a "closed conference", with the authority of the members of the committee limited to reconciling the differences in the positions of the 2 houses; and, be it further

SJR26-AA1,1,11 Resolved, That neither house may consider the report of the committee of conference if it contains a recommendation that the houses enact legislation containing an issue that is not contained in 1999 Assembly Bill 465, as engrossed, or 1999 Senate Bill 237, as introduced; and, be it further".
