Wisconsin Technical College System Board

As required under Section 9147 (2m) of
1997 Wisconsin Act 27, the attached report is being provided on the activities in each technical college district that have been funded with grants awarded under section 38.33
Wis. Stats. and on the effectiveness of the activities in meeting the purposes of the faculty development programs as specified in s.
38.33 Wis. Stats.
Funding for the professional development activities leading to the integration of new learning technologies into technical college instructional activities was a priority of the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) in the Board's 1997-99 biennial budget request. The WTCS appreciates the support of the Governor and the Legislature in providing funding for this purpose through the faculty development grant program. The resources provided to the WTCS under this program have provided a significant portion of the technical college faculty with knowledge and skills needed to enhance student educational outcomes through the use of new and emerging instructional technologies.
