Relating to: authorizing cities, villages, towns, counties, metropolitan sewerage districts, technical colleges and federated public libraries to let public works contracts under the design-build construction process, changing the threshold amounts that require competitive bidding under public works contracts and providing an exemption from competitive bidding requirements.
By Senators George, Huelsman, Roessler, Farrow and Rude; cosponsored by Representatives Riley, Musser, Colon, Carpenter and Gronemus.

Senate Bill 199
Relating to: a child care worker loan repayment assistance program; a child care career education scholarship program; early childhood councils; requiring recipients of child care funding to have received training in child development and safety; training and network development for special needs child care providers; eligibility for child care funding; health care for low-income child care workers; creating tax credits for employers who provide child care; creating a nonrefundable individual income tax credit for certain expenses related to child or dependent care; granting rule-making authority; and making appropriations.
