AB331,1,3 1An Act to create 125.07 (3) (a) 3r. of the statutes; relating to: the prohibition
2against underage persons entering or being on any premises operating under
3an alcohol beverage license.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, a person who has not reached the legal drinking age (21
years of age), and who is not accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or spouse
who has attained the legal drinking age, may not enter or be on any premises for
which a license or permit for the retail sale of alcohol beverages has been issued.
Current law also provides for various exceptions to this prohibition. One such
exception is that a person who has not reached the legal drinking age may enter or
be in a bowling center, a regularly established athletic field or stadium at which
alcohol beverages are sold or an outdoor volleyball court immediately adjacent to
premises licensed to sell alcohol beverages. This bill provides that an
unaccompanied person who has not reached the legal drinking age may enter or be
on premises licensed to sell alcohol beverages at retail if the premises are a privately
owned recreational fishing farm open to the public.
