2001 Assembly Bill 49, introduced by committee on Campaigns and Elections, relates to polling hours, time off from work for service as an election official, and requiring the elections board to submit recommendations with regard to voter identification and registration and the administration of elections.
2001 Assembly Bill 49 contains a fiscal note in excess of $100,000. Pursuant to sec. 16.47(2), Stats., I consider this bill an emergency bill. I recommend the bill and I ask that passage of 2001 Assembly Bill 49 be permitted prior to passage of the budget bill.
