On February 4, 2002, I exercised my prerogative as chairperson of the Assembly Committee on Organization and submitted a mail ballot to the members of the Assembly Committee on Organization. A copy of the ballot is attached.
The results of the balloting are enclosed. Three of the members, Representatives Black, Kreuser and Bock, declined to return ballots to my clerk, Brian Dake.

Pursuant to Assembly Rule 42(1)(am) and section 13.52(6), Wisconsin Statutes, the co-chairpersons of the Joint Survey Committee on Tax Exemptions shall prepare and submit a report in writing setting forth an opinion on the desirability of Assembly Bill 1, January 2002 Special Session, relating to state finances and appropriations, constituting the governor's recommendations for correcting the imbalance between projected revenues and authorized expenditures, as a matter of public policy.
