Senator Wirch, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Marine Lance Corporal Daniel J. Holm of Kenosha, who was seriously injured in Iraq recently when the Humvee he was driving was hit by a roadside bomb. The twenty year old Marine is the son of Carl and Teresa Vrba of Kenosha.
Senator Chvala, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Tara Vasby on her 31st birthday.
Senator Plale, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of the marriage of Katy Venskus and Bill Keeton on May 21, 2004.
Senator Leibham, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Jamie Aulik, a member of the Senate Sergeant's Staff. Jamie is a 2002 graduate from Marquette University and also a member of the Manitowoc Army Reserves 88th Regimental Support Command and serves as nuclear, biological and chemical weapons specialist. Jamie was promoted to Sergeant before arriving in Iraq, and was stationed in Baghdad for a year as a member of the 79th Quartermaster Company out of Ohio. Sergeant Aulik served with distinction and received an Army commendation medal for meritorious service.
Senator Jauch, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of the 724th Battalion who just returned from Iraq.
Senator Lazich, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Army National Guard Specialist Michelle Witmer who gave her life in defense of freedom. I would also adjourn in honor of her family, mother and father, Lori and John Witmer, her sisters and brothers, Rachel, Charity, Timothy and Mark and convey our deepest sympathies for their loss.
