4were not excluded. The court may consider as a compelling interest, among others,
5the need to protect a complainant from undue embarrassment and emotional
6trauma.

AB511-ASA1, s. 93 3Section 93. 973.176 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB511-ASA1,28,94 973.176 (3) Child sex offender working with children. Whenever a court
5imposes a sentence or places a defendant on probation regarding a conviction under
6s. 940.22 (2) or 940.225 (2) (c) or (cm), if the victim is under 18 years of age at the time
7of the offense, or a conviction under s. 948.02 (1) or (2), 948.025 (1), 948.05 (1) or (1m),
8948.06, 948.07 (1), (2), (3), or (4), or 948.075, or 948.085, the court shall inform the
9defendant of the requirements and penalties under s. 948.13.
AB511-ASA1, s. 94 10Section 94. 973.195 (1r) (d) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB511-ASA1,28,1911 973.195 (1r) (d) If the sentence for which the inmate seeks adjustment is for
12an offense under s. 940.225 (2) or (3), 948.02 (2), or 948.08, or 948.085, and the district
13attorney does not object to the petition within 10 days of receiving notice under par.
14(c), the district attorney shall notify the victim, as defined under s. 950.02 (4), of the
15inmate's petition. The notice to the victim shall include information on the sentence
16adjustment petition process under this subsection, including information on how to
17object to the inmate's petition. If the victim objects to adjustment of the inmate's
18sentence within 45 days of the date on which the district attorney received notice
19under par. (c), the court shall deny the inmate's petition.
AB511-ASA1, s. 95 20Section 95. 973.20 (4m) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB511-ASA1,29,221 973.20 (4m) If the defendant violated s. 940.225, 948.02, 948.025, 948.05,
22948.06, 948.07 or, 948.08, or 948.085 and sub. (3) (a) does not apply, the restitution
23order may require that the defendant pay an amount, not to exceed $10,000, equal
24to the cost of necessary professional services relating to psychiatric and psychological
25care and treatment. The $10,000 limit under this subsection does not apply to the

1amount of any restitution ordered under sub. (3) or (5) for the cost of necessary
2professional services relating to psychiatric and psychological care and treatment.

AB511-ASA1,29,84 980.01 (4m) "Serious child sex offender" means a person who has been
5convicted, adjudicated delinquent or found not guilty or not responsible by reason of
6insanity or mental disease, defect or illness for committing a violation of a crime
7specified in s. 948.02 (1) or (2) or, 948.025 (1), or 948.085 against a child who had not
8attained the age of 13 years.
