SENATE AMENDMENT 6, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2005 SENATE BILL 42

SB42-SSA1-SA6,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB42-SSA1-SA6,1,2 1. Page 2, line 1: delete "and".

SB42-SSA1-SA6,1,4 2. Page 2, line 2: delete "Transportation" and substitute "Transportation, and making an appropriation".

SB42-SSA1-SA6,1,5 3. Page 31, line 5: after that line insert:

SB42-SSA1-SA6,1,6 " Section 36m. 7.08 (9) of the statutes is created to read:

SB42-SSA1-SA6,2,2 7.08 (9) Distribute aids for voter identification administration. From the appropriation under s. 20.510 (1) (e), distribute to municipalities state aids for costs incurred by the municipalities in administering the requirements for electors to present identification cards or copies thereof when registering to vote or voting. Aids shall be payable at the rate of 50 cents per resident for each election at which a state or national office appears on the ballot, as determined in accordance with the most recent federal decennial census of population.".

SB42-SSA1-SA6,2,4 " Section 37u. 20.510 (1) (e) of the statutes is created to read:

SB42-SSA1-SA6,2,7 20.510 (1) (e) Voter identification administration. A sum sufficient to make payment of aids to municipalities for administration of elector identification requirements as provided in s. 7.08 (9).".
