TO 2005 SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 1

SJR1-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the joint resolution as follows:

SJR1-SA1,1,3 21. Page 1, line 2: before "and" insert ", prohibiting either house from
3conducting business after midnight,".

SJR1-SA1,1,4 42. Page 3, line 1: after that line insert:

SJR1-SA1,1,5 5" Section 1b. Joint rule 6m is created to read:

SJR1-SA1,1,11 6Joint Rule 6m Daily sessions. Notwithstanding any rule of either house, the
7daily session of each house ends at midnight, unless adjourned earlier, and no house
8may conduct business during the hours between midnight and 7 a.m. This rule may
9be suspended by a majority of the members present and voting, but only for the
10purpose of completing consideration of the proposal that is being considered at
11midnight.".
