Dear Patrick:
I am the author of Assembly Bill 1087, relating to creating an individual income tax check off for prostate cancer research, creating the Prostate Cancer Research Board, creating the prostate cancer research program, and making appropriations. Due to an inadvertent error, the actual lead author of the bill in the Senate, as well as a number of Senate co-sponsors were mistakenly left off of the bill, when they should have been included. As a result, I am asking for a corrected copy of Assembly Bill 1087 to be published, as the bill is scheduled for a Joint Committee on Finance Executive Session on Thursday, March 30, 2006.
The Senate author and co-sponsors for Assembly Bill 1087 should be listed as follows:
Senators A. Lasee, Plale, Roessler, Lassa, Robson, Erpenbach, S. Fitzgerald and Darling.
If this complete change cannot be made, it is imperative that Senator A. Lasee be listed as the author of the bill, followed by Plale.
Thank you for your time and attention to this request. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
David Ward
State Representative
