Senator Darling, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Bob Braeger of Fox Point. Bob died of natural causes on Monday, April 25th, at the age of 82. He served with the Army Air Corps During WWII, and survived 30 missions, including two over Normandy on D-Day. Bob Braeger received the Distinguished Flying Cross nearly 60 years after serving his country. In the 1960's Bob took over running the family auto dealership. Active in a wide variety of civic groups, Bob threw his most devoted support to two special causes. The first was the Milwaukee Boys & Girls Clubs, which he served as a board president and longtime board member. He was also instrumental in raising funds for War Memorial Center renovations.
Senator Hansen, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of his mother Clare Hansen, who is 89 years old, as Mother's Day is celebrated this Sunday.
Senator Robson, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Anna Moore R.N., a nurse as well as a Senate intern.
Senator Schultz, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Molly Sheafor. Molly was a distinguished citizen of the community of Richland Center, and the Great-Grandmother of Luke Drury, a member of Senator Schultz's staff. Molly passed away last week. She was a long time supporter of education, teaching at both the West Branch and Block one-room schools in Richland County. Molly and her husband, Jay Sheafor, operated a large dairy farm and sold dairy cattle throughout the United States and internationally for many years before retiring to their forty acres on Brush Creek. Molly received the Richland County Outstanding Farm Woman of the Year award in 1998, and was a generous and constant supporter of the UW-Richland. She instilled in her children a love of family and adventure. Molly Sheafor will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all those whose lives she touched.
