Senator Erpenbach, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Dale Yurs of Verona, an intern in the 27th district Senate office since his freshman year in high school. The Senator would like to wish Dale the best of luck as he enters MATC in the fall.

Ted works very hard for the Senate as Senate Sergeant-at-Arms with very little recognition or thanks. Senator Jauch, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Jessie Wayandt, a senior at Northwestern High School. Jessie won the State Championship in the pole vault on Saturday, June 4, at the WIAA Division II track and field meet at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. She was the runner up at the state meet last year and she entered the competition as the number one seed this year with a top height of ten feet and six inches. Jessie equaled that height to win the state title, and she also broke her personal best with a final height of eleven feet.
Senator Jauch, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Jolene Anderson, originally from Port Wing, who will be a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison this coming fall. Jolene will be one of the 15 players for the United States Under 19 Women's Basketball Team and will be playing in the FIBA World Championships in Tunisia on July 15-24. At South Shore High School, Jolene was the all time leading scorer in the state in girls basketball. She set state records for points in a game (58), points in a season (957), and career scoring (2,881). At the University of Wisconsin, she was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Jolene was first in scoring for the Badgers with 497 points, averaging 17.8 per game, second in minutes played with 32.2 per game, and second in assists with 92 for the season.
Senator Kanavas, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of the 80th birthday of his mother and the 6th birthday of his daughter.
Senator Schultz, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of former Wisconsin State Senator Walter John Chilsen. Walter John is a legend in the Senate. Senator Chilsen will shortly be recognized by the Wisconsin Broadcasting Association for his contribution to the industry. Former Senator Chilsen is a dedicated public servant, and all of his contributions to this state will be his lasting legacy. The Wisconsin State Senate joins the WBA in hearty and sincere congratulations and thanks to Walter John Chilsen.
