1An Act to amend
36.11 (3) (b) of the statutes; relating to: transfer of certain
2program credits within the University of Wisconsin System.

Under current law, the Board of Regents (board) of the University of Wisconsin
(UW) System must establish policies for the appropriate transfer of credits between
institutions within the UW System. This bill requires the board, within five years,
to ensure that all credits in nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and
medical technology programs are fully transferable between institutions within the

enact as follows:

36.11 (3) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:
(b) The board shall establish policies for the appropriate transfer of 5
credits between institutions within the system, including the designation of those 6
courses which shall be transferable between and within institutions without loss of
credit toward graduation or toward completion of a specific course of study. The
