AB383,1,3 1An Act to create 230.06 (1) (m) of the statutes; relating to: requiring criminal
2history background investigations of applicants for certain state government

This bill requires each appointing authority of an agency in the executive
branch of state government to conduct a criminal history background investigation
of an applicant for a position, the duties of which include access to funds
administered by a state agency, before offering that applicant employment in the
position.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB383, s. 1 4Section 1. 230.06 (1) (m) of the statutes is created to read:
AB383,2,25 230.06 (1) (m) Notwithstanding ss. 111.321, 111.322, and 111.325, before
6offering employment to any individual for a position in state government, the duties
