ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 2007 ASSEMBLY BILL 49

AB49-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB49-AA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 3: after "plants" insert "and grants for nonprofit conservation activities".

AB49-AA1,1,4 2. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:

AB49-AA1,1,5 " Section 1. 20.370 (5) (aw) of the statutes is repealed.

AB49-AA1, s. 1f Section 1f. 23.09 (20m) (a) 3. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB49-AA1,1,12 23.09 (20m) (a) 3. "Nonprofit conservation organization" has the meaning given in s. 23.0955 (1) means a nonprofit corporation, charitable trust, or other nonprofit association whose purposes include the acquisition of property for conservation purposes and that is described in section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is exempt from federal income tax under section 501 (a) of the Internal Revenue Code.

AB49-AA1, s. 1h Section 1h. 23.0917 (1) (dm) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB49-AA1,2,2 23.0917 (1) (dm) "Nonprofit conservation organization" has the meaning given in s. 23.0955 (1) 23.09 (20m) (a) 3.

AB49-AA1, s. 1j Section 1j. 23.0955 of the statutes is repealed.

AB49-AA1, s. 1L Section 1L. 23.0956 of the statutes is repealed.

AB49-AA1, s. 1n Section 1n. 23.096 (1) (ag) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB49-AA1,2,7 23.096 (1) (ag) "Nonprofit conservation organization" has the meaning given in s. 23.0955 (1) 23.09 (20m) (a) 3.

AB49-AA1, s. 1q Section 1q. 23.098 (1) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB49-AA1,2,10 23.098 (1) (c) "Nonprofit conservation organization" has the meaning given in s. 23.0955 (1) 23.09 (20m) (a) 3.".

AB49-AA1,2,11 3. Page 2, line 1: substitute "Section 1t" for "Section 1".

AB49-AA1,2,12 4. Page 2, line 11: after that line insert:

AB49-AA1,2,13 " Section 2c. 30.77 (3) (dm) 1. b. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB49-AA1,2,18 30.77 (3) (dm) 1. b. "Local entity" means a city, village, town, county, qualified lake association, nonprofit conservation organization, as defined in s. 23.0955 (1) 23.09 (20m) (a) 3., town sanitary district, public inland lake protection and rehabilitation district, or another local governmental unit, as defined in s. 66.0131 (1) (a), that is established for the purpose of lake management.

AB49-AA1, s. 2n Section 2n. 281.68 (3) (a) 1. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB49-AA1,3,2 281.68 (3) (a) 1. Eligible recipients to consist of nonprofit conservation organizations, as defined in s. 23.0955 (1) 23.09 (20m) (a) 3., counties, cities, towns, villages, qualified lake associations, town sanitary districts, qualified school districts, public inland lake protection and rehabilitation districts, and other local governmental units, as defined in s. 66.0131 (1) (a), that are established for the purpose of lake management.

AB49-AA1, s. 2p Section 2p. 281.69 (1b) (bn) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB49-AA1,3,5 281.69 (1b) (bn) "Nonprofit conservation organization" has the meaning given in s. 23.0955 (1) 23.09 (20m) (a) 3.

AB49-AA1, s. 2t Section 2t. 281.70 (4) (a) 3. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB49-AA1,3,8 281.70 (4) (a) 3. Nonprofit conservation organizations, as defined in s. 23.0955 (1) 23.09 (20m) (a) 3.".

AB49-AA1,3,10 5. Page 2, line 13: delete "This act" and substitute "The treatment of section 23.24 (3) (c) of the statutes".
