SENATE AMENDMENT 3, TO 2007 SENATE BILL 23

SB23-SA3,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB23-SA3,1,3 1. Page 1, line 2: after "legislature" insert ", state constitutional officer, cabinet officer, or governor's chief staff person, deputy, or executive assistant".

SB23-SA3,1,4 2. Page 1, line 3: before that line insert:

SB23-SA3,1,5 " Section 1. 19.42 (3e) and (6m) of the statutes are created to read:

SB23-SA3,1,7 19.42 (3e) "Cabinet officer" means the head of a department, as defined in s. 15.01, who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the governor.

SB23-SA3,1,9 (6m) "Governor's chief staff person" means the chief staff person appointed under s. 14.02 who serves in the office of the governor.".

SB23-SA3,1,10 3. Page 1, line 3: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 2".

SB23-SA3,2,2 4. Page 2, line 1: after "legislature" insert "or former governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, state treasurer, superintendent of public instruction, cabinet officer, or governor's chief staff person, deputy appointed under s. 15.04 (2), or executive assistant appointed under s. 15.05 (3) or 15.06 (4m)".
