SENATE AMENDMENT 2, TO 2007 SENATE BILL 232

SB232-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB232-SA2,1,2 1. Page 3, line 12: delete that line and substitute:

SB232-SA2,1,4 "450.09 (2m) Patients' rights. (a) Except as provided in par. (b), every pharmacist has a duty to promptly".

SB232-SA2,1,5 2. Page 3, line 15: after that line insert:

SB232-SA2,1,8 "(b) A pharmacist may decline to dispense a contraceptive for a patient if either of the following applies and the pharmacist ensures that the patient will have access to the contraceptive elsewhere:

SB232-SA2,1,10 1. The pharmacist objects to dispensing the contraceptive on moral or religious grounds.

SB232-SA2,1,12 2. The pharmacist is employed at a pharmacy that is operated or controlled by an organization that objects to contraception on moral or religious grounds.".
