SENATE AMENDMENT 2, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2007 SENATE BILL 269

SB269-SSA1-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB269-SSA1-SA2,1,2 1. Page 1, line 3: delete "harm and" and substitute "harm,".

SB269-SSA1-SA2,1,4 2. Page 1, line 4: after "unenforceable" insert ", and prohibiting the imposition of fees for local government law enforcement services".

SB269-SSA1-SA2,1,5 3. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:

SB269-SSA1-SA2,1,6 " Section 1. 66.0627 (7) of the statutes is created to read:

SB269-SSA1-SA2,1,11 66.0627 (7) Notwithstanding sub. (2), no city, village, town, or county may enact an ordinance, or enforce an existing ordinance, that imposes a fee on the owner or occupant of property for a call for assistance that is made by the owner or occupant requesting law enforcement services that are provided by the city, village, town, or county.".

SB269-SSA1-SA2,1,12 4. Page 2, line 1: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 1m".

SB269-SSA1-SA2,2,1 5. Page 4, line 16: after that line insert:

SB269-SSA1-SA2,2,4 "(2m) Local government emergency services. The treatment of section 66.0627 (7) of the statutes first applies to a call that is made for law enforcement, fire protection, or other emergency services on the effective date of this subsection.".
