Dear Mr. Long:
As required by the License Agreement between the Wisconsin State Assembly and WisconsinEye, following are the six members Representative Kreuser and I have appointed to the special committee charged with monitoring the operations of WisconsinEye.
Representative Mark Gottlieb
Representative Don Friske
Representative Rich Zipperer
Representative Marlin Schneider
Representative Gary Sherman
Representative Cory Mason
As required, the committee will monitor and review the operation of the legislative protocols set out in the license agreement. It will report to the Assembly Organization Committee by November 16, 2007 its findings with regard to the operation of the legislative protocols and any recommended changes to the agreement.
A182 Based on previous discussions with the WisconsinEye Board, I do expect frequent rather than one‐time reporting from the committee and on‐going communication with WisconsinEye about the protocols. Moreover, it is the Assembly's intent for the committee to continue its work at least until the 2007‐09 legislative session adjourns. In addition, it is my expectation that the Assembly Chief Clerk and the Speaker's office will remain the points of contact as we resolve outstanding issues related to WisconsinEye's start‐up as well as day‐to‐day matters for which you need the Assembly's input.
Please contact me with any questions.
Sincerely,
Mike Huebsch
Assembly Speaker
