I am pleased to nominate and with consent of the Assembly, do appoint Judge Thomas Cane to be a member of the Government Accountability Board. Judge Cane will serve a term to expire May 1, 2013.
Judge Cane currently sits on the Court of Appeals and will retire July 31, 2007. Therefore, his appointment is effective no sooner than August 1, 2007. Judge Cane will be available to the Assembly for hearings and my staff will assist in any way they can.

I respectfully request that my name be added as a co‐sponsor of Assembly Bill 357, relating to judicial review of an administrative suspension of driving privileges and introduced by Representative Mark Gundrum.
I respectfully request that my name be added as a co‐sponsor of Assembly Bill 373, relating to Witness Exclusions and introduced by Representative Donald Friske.
I respectfully request that my name be added as a co‐sponsor of Assembly Bill 385, relating to the codification for the requirement that DHFS issue payment for at least 95 percent of claims under MA, Badger Care and Senior Care programs within 30 days of receipt of the claims and requires that DHFS issue payment for 100 percent of such claims within 45 days of receipt. This bill was introduced by Representative Donald Friske.
