In accordance with s.
893.55 (4) (d) 2., Wis. Stat., I am pleased to submit this report to the Wisconsin State Legislature. The report, to be submitted to the Legislature January 1 of every odd number year after the effective date of
2005 Act 183 (April 6, 2006), is to make any recommended changes to the limits on noneconomic damages as established by Act 183, including the reasons why such changes are necessary to meet the intent of the legislative findings under sub. (1d) of
2005 Act 183.
The attached report provides information regarding the background of
2005 Wisconsin Act 183, and discussion of any recommendations.
