Announcements, Adjournment Honors, and Remarks Under Special Privilege
Senator Erpenbach, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Representative Dave Travis, retiring after 29 years of service in the State Assembly.
Senator Decker, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Jack B. Reihl. He joined the staff of the Wisconsin State AFL-CIO in 1969 and was elected secretary-treasurer in 1970. He was President from 1986-1994, and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners for 58 years. Jack Reihl died March 23, on Easter Sunday.
Senator Decker, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of the Wausau Mine Company and owner Ron Wage, who served 600 free meals to Wausau area residents on Easter Sunday. Forty volunteers helped to cook meals, serve them, and deliver them to those who are homebound.
Senator Decker, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of the Arrow Sports Club in Weston, Wisconsin and Bob, Bill and Brian Tesmer, who will host an Adult Prom to benefit The Women's Community in Wausau.
Senator Ellis, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Senator Carol Roessler on her upcoming retirement from the State Senate.
Senator Risser, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Carol Roessler on her upcoming retirement from the State Senate.
Senator Hansen, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of St. Norbert's College Hockey Team - NCAA Division III Champions. They are a great young team with a tremendous goalie, Kyle Jones. Congratulations.
Senator Lassa, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of the 4,000 men and women from the Armed Forces who have died serving our country in Iraq and all the men and women who continue to serve in our Armed Forces across the world.
Senator Wirch, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Jack Reihl, former President of Wisconsin AFL-CIO who passed away recently. He was a champion of working people in this state.
