ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2009 ASSEMBLY BILL 35

AB35-ASA1-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB35-ASA1-AA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 3: after "118.13" insert "and except as provided in sub. (6)".

AB35-ASA1-AA1,1,3 2. Page 3, line 23: after that line insert:

AB35-ASA1-AA1,1,7 "(6) A pupil attending a public school in a nonresident school district under s. 118.51 may not file a complaint under sub. (1) in which the pupil objects to the use of a race-based nickname, logo, mascot, or team name by the school board of the nonresident school district.

AB35-ASA1-AA1, s. 1m Section 1m. 118.51 (13) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB35-ASA1-AA1,2,2 118.51 (13) Rights and privileges of nonresident pupils. A Except as provided in s. 118.134 (6), a pupil attending a public school in a nonresident school district under this section has all of the rights and privileges of pupils residing in that school district and is subject to the same rules and regulations as pupils residing in that school district.".
