In this 7
section, "membership" has the meaning given in s. 121.004 (5).
A school district is eligible for aid under this section if it satisfies all of the 9
(a) The school district is located in a county with a population in 2000 of less 11
than 250,000, according to the 2000 federal census.
(b) The school district's membership in the 2009-10 school year was no more 13
(c) The geographic area of the school district is at least 70 square miles.
(d) The membership of the school district declined in any of the following 16
1. Between the 2006-07 and 2009-10 school years, at least 1.29 percent.
2. Between the 2007-08 and 2009-10 school years, at least 1.85 percent.
(a) Beginning in the 2010-11 school year, the department shall, subject to 20
par. (b), from the appropriation under s. 20.255 (2) (ag), pay to each school district 21
eligible for aid under this section $200 multiplied by the membership in the previous 22

to pay the full amount under par. (a), the department shall prorate the payments 3
among the eligible school districts.".
(aw) Notwithstanding pars. (a) and (ar), no aid may be paid under 7
