Representative Ripp introduced Scott and Patty Rataczak from Cambria, parents of four children who are all currently serving in the United States Armed Forces: Melissa, Private First Class in the National Guard; Michael, a specialist in National Guard who is currently deployed in Iraq; Mitchell, Private First Class in the Army serving as a Helicopter mechanic and crew chief who has just returned home from Korea; and Marshall (Shaun), Private 2nd Class who is currently serving in Louisiana Fort Polk. Mr. and Mrs. Rataczak joined Representative Ripp at the rostrum.
Representative Ripp and Mr. and Mrs. Rataczak led the membership in reciting the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
