Announcements, Adjournment Honors, and Remarks under Special Privilege
S229 Senator Taylor, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of many special people that will be working for justice in their coming careers. On June 11, 2009, 297 law school graduates were admitted to the Wisconsin Bar. The newly admitted lawyers consist of 146 graduates from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and 151 graduates from Marquette University. I would especially like to give recognition to Evan Goyke of Madison who graduated from Marquette Law School. Evan who is the son of Gary Goyke, former State Senator, and Nancy Rottier, Legislative Liaison for the Director of the State Courts. Congratulations to Evan and each of the lawyers who have been admitted by bar examination to practice law in the State of Wisconsin. To those new attorneys, we are looking to you to help shape, craft, and better the law for justice!
Senator Taylor, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of "TEAM TAYLOR" my staff and interns that have helped get the work of my office done through this difficult budget process. My staff members have all put in extra hours to help get this work done and I thank them: Eric Peterson, Alan Charles, Madu Enwemnwa, Deidra Edwards, Revelle Walls, and Jenissee Volpintesta. In addition I could not say thanks enough to the interns in my office over this time for their assistance and willingness to learn and be a part of this process: Julie Anne Benkoske, Erica Byer, Teghan Delane, Jennifer Dresselhaus, Anne Eichmeyer, Allison Beth Frankel, Gregory Harris, Andrew Larson, Brian Mongeau, Joseph Pfister, Daniel Sacks, Rachel Sandler, Chapin Smith, Dustin Sonneborn, Ian Targovnik, Joseph Vande Slunt, Jinny Kim, Dan Hansfield, Rachelle Unbehaun, and Dalayna Tillman. Senator Taylor, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourn, it do so in honor of Daniel Sklansky in celebration of his graduation from the residency program at Johns Hopkins Children's Center. Daniel attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, who he admired greatly. I also adjourn in honor of Daniel's family who supported and encouraged him in his dream to become a doctor. Daniel is the son of my committee counsel, Ron Sklansky, whom many of you know and we applaud him on a fine son. Daniel has been an example of excellence in his community and will surely be a great benefit to the medical profession.
