The Senate was called to order by President Risser.

The roll was called, disclosing the presence of a quorum.

The Senate stood for the prayer which was offered by Wilfrid Cleveland, President of the Ho-Chunk Nation, from Black River Falls.
The Senate remained standing and Senator Plale led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.

Senator Decker, with unanimous consent, asked that Senator Taylor be granted a leave of absence for today's session.
